Portraiture.

Portraiture phtogrpahy has changed dramatically, it has gone from being about the main focus of the person in front of the camera to being about the person behind the camera.

In 1839, a year after the first photo containing a human being was made, photography pioneer Robert Cornelius made the first ever portrait of a human being. The Daily recently published an interesting piece on Cornelius’ story:



Diane Arbus used photography to exploit people to make them seem as they were revealing there inner self as there were revealing what they could be feeling through there eyes and body language.
